PM Modi on four-nation African tour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in South Africa, as part of a four-nation tour of African nations. He is expected to offer technical expertise and multi-million dollar investments to South Africa.

 

On the second leg of his four nation Africa tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Pretoria in South Africa wherein he was accorde a ceremonial reception and later, he held delegation level talks with South African President Jacob Zuma.

Several MoUs will also be signed following the talks. He will also address members of the Indian diaspora in Johannesburg.

PM Modi will also visit Pietermaritzburg railway station where Mahatma Gandhi was thrown out of the train.

Before leaving for Pretoria on Thursday,PM celebrated historic people linkages in Mozambique capital Maputo.

Addressing the Indian Community in Maputo,PM said that Africa was the land which started shaping the identity of the Indian Diaspora.

He appreciated the resilience of the Indian community based in Mozambique. PM also spent some time with the Indians there.
