Old Goa police arrested three persons on Wednesday evening on charges of kidnapping a six-months-old baby boy and assaulting his mother at Tivrem-Marcel. The complainant, Sangeeta Giri, a native of Uttar Pradesh who currently resides at Tivrem, had taken the baby to Goa medical college (GMC) and hospital, Bambolim. Three youth were arrested for attacking a 27-year-old man, who was sitting alone at Baina beach on Thursday night. At about 11pm, Uddesh Nandkumar Sawant of Zuarinagar had visited Baina beach.
