Goa Govt to Begin Bamboo Plantation Along 250 Km of Highways

Green Drive to Launch on World Environment Day Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that the Goa government will begin bamboo plantation and greenery work along nearly 250 kilometres of state and national highways from June 5.Sawant said the plantation stretches will be maintained by Biodiversity Management Committees and self-help groups, with the government covering the expenses and salary costs as part of its environmental conservation initiative.
