Voters Turned Away Over ID Proof Issue at Polling Booths

Advocate Harsha Naik Questions BLO’s Decision Some voters were reportedly denied the right to vote after failing to produce a physical copy of their identity proof, despite showing valid online copies. A well-known Panaji-based advocate, Harsha Naik, faced a similar situation and questioned the decision of the Booth Level Officer (BLO), stating that no such rule has been clearly laid down. She criticized the practice of sending voters back and said BLOs must act more responsibly to ensure eligible voters are not deprived of their democratic right.
