Encroachment on Irrigation Canal at Chopde–Agarwada Border

Illegal construction blocks access to salt pans, officials inspect site An illegal encroachment has been reported on an irrigation department canal at the Chopde–Agarwada border, where residents from a Delhi locality allegedly carried out unauthorized construction. Officials who inspected the site found that more than 300 metres of the canal had been encroached upon in an attempt to block the waterway, resulting in local residents losing access to the salt pans.
