Mahadev Temple, Kurdi Preserves Goa’s Historic Heritage

Ancient Shiva temple continues to attract visitors with its cultural significance The historic Mahadev Temple, Kurdi continues to stand as a symbol of Goa’s rich cultural and architectural heritage, attracting both locals and tourists.Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple was originally located near the Netravali River but was later relocated after the construction of the Salaulim dam threatened submergence of the site. The structure was carefully reconstructed under the supervision of the Archaeological Survey of India.Even today, the temple remains an important heritage attraction reflecting centuries of Goa’s history.
