Saligao Residents Protest Mega Housing Project in Bairo Alto Vaddo

Allege Irregularities, Demand Stop-Work Order and Joint Inspection Opposition to a proposed mega housing project at Bairo Alto Vaddo in Saligao intensified on Friday, as residents gathered at the Saligao Panchayat ground protesting alleged irregularities in the development.Locals claimed that repeated complaints to the Village Panchayat, the Town and Country Planning Department, and other authorities have gone unanswered. They raised concerns over the alleged absence of a mandatory 6-metre access road, inadequate setbacks, and discrepancies in approval documents.The residents have demanded an immediate stop-work order, a joint site inspection with officials and villagers, and strict action in case of violations.
