Over 2,000 athletes expected for state meet; West Zone junior championship also scheduled later in the year The Goa Athletics Association has announced that the state will host two major athletics championships in 2026 at the Atal Athletic Stadium in Bambolim. The 57th Goa State Athletics Championship, dedicated to the memory of former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, will be held from July 30 to August 1, while the 37th West Zone Junior Athletics Championship is scheduled from September 27 to 29. The state-level event is expected to see participation from more than 2,000 athletes across age groups, featuring a wide range of track and field competitions.
