GRE Pays Tribute to Matanhy Saldanha on 77th Birth Remembrance

Alina Saldanha and MP Viriato Fernandes join fishermen leaders in honouring the late activist Members of the Goenchea Raponkarancho Ekvott , led by President Agnelo Rodrigues, paid tribute to late General Secretary Matanhy Saldanha on his 77th birth remembrance at Cansaulim. Former Minister Alina Saldanha and MP Capt. Viriato Fernandes attended the ceremony. GRE General Secretary Olencio Simoes hailed Matanhy as a “global icon for fishers,” recalling his fight for coastal protection and the Goa Marine Fishing Regulation Act.
