VARTALAP WORKSHOP Bridging Science and Society: Media Trained to Decode Ocean and Polar Research The oceans cover more than 70% of our planet, yet much about them remains a mystery. Decoding that mystery and communicating it to the public was the focus of a unique initiative held in Goa. A media workshop titled ‘Vartalap’ brought together scientists and journalists in an effort to make complex marine and polar science more accessible to the wider public. The event was inaugurated by Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sadanand Tanavade.
