Sarpanch Says Illegal Scrapyards Behind Rising Theft Cases The Bhoma Panchayat has passed a resolution to remove scrapyards operating within its jurisdiction, citing them as the root cause of increasing theft cases in the area. Sarpanch noted that earlier there were 18 scrapyards, one of which had caught fire causing heavy losses to surrounding properties. Following that incident, all scrapyards were cleared, but several have since resurfaced. With thefts being reported again, the panchayat has decided to take strict action and remove all scrapyards permanently.
