Farewell, Guard of Honour and Cabinet induction ahead of 2027 polls Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar has resigned from his post and has submitted his resignation to the Secretary-Legislature. Earlier today, he was given a warm farewell by the Assembly staff and was accorded a Guard of Honour at the Assembly complex. Tawadkar says he had expected to complete his full tenure as Speaker but has accepted the party’s decision to induct him into the Cabinet in view of the 2027 Assembly elections. Later, he was sworn in as a Minister at Raj Bhavan, marking his official induction into the Cabinet.
