‘आत्मनिर्भर भारत’ मोहिमेच्या दिशेने एक पाऊल पुढे; समुद्री सुरक्षेसाठी महत्त्वाची भर गोवा शिपयार्ड लिमिटेडने वास्को येथील तळावर भारतीय तटरक्षक दलासाठी स्वदेशी बनावटीच्या आठ फास्ट पेट्रोल व्हेसल्स पैकी सहावे जहाज ‘आयसीजीएस अटल’ यशस्वीपणे जलावतरण केले. ५२ मीटर लांब व ३२० टन वजनाच्या या जहाजाचे जलावतरण शिल्पा अग्रवाल यांच्या हस्ते वरिष्ठ संरक्षण अधिकाऱ्यांच्या उपस्थितीत झाले. गोवा शिपयार्डचे अध्यक्ष व व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक ब्रजेश कुमार उपाध्याय यांनी शिपयार्डच्या नाविन्यपूर्ण व लवचिकतेचे कौतुक केले. ही जहाजे सागरी गस्त, बेटांची सुरक्षा आणि सागरी मालमत्तांचे संरक्षण अशा विविध भूमिका बजावतील. ‘आत्मनिर्भर भारत’ संकल्पनेशी सुसंगत हा प्रकल्प भारताच्या सागरी सुरक्षेला बळकटी देतो, असे मत रोजी अग्रवाल यांनी व्यक्त केले.
