The 14-year-old International Master showcased exceptional consistency and skill throughout the tournament. With this achievement, Vaz has qualified for the 2026 World and Asian Youth Chess Championships. A former national junior champion, he is also set to represent India in both the Under-18 and Under-20 categories at upcoming global and continental events, further cementing his status as one of the country’s brightest young talents.
