Fake Currency Case: Porvorim Accused Gets Bail

Court grants conditional relief; probe into wider racket still underway In a setback to investigators, the District and Sessions Court in North Goa has granted conditional bail to a Karnataka-based accused in the Porvorim fake currency case. The accused is alleged to have deposited counterfeit ₹500 notes through a bank cash deposit machine. Despite recovery of fake notes and key evidence, the court ruled that the ongoing probe into other suspects cannot justify continued custody at this stage.
