Farmers claim plot development activities are threatening traditional agriculture and livelihood Several tribal farmers from Kazarwada in Bethora have raised concerns over alleged land filling and plot development activities, claiming that their traditional paddy cultivation and livelihood are under threat. In complaints submitted to the Director of Panchayat, BDO and the Bethora Nirankal Conshem-Codar Panchayat, farmers alleged that development on nearby sloping land is causing mud deposits, gutter water discharge and dumping of waste into cultivable paddy fields. The affected farmers have urged authorities to stop any alleged illegal residential plot development in the surrounding area.
