Protected Lands Mapped as Ecologically Vulnerable: Vishwajit Rane

Minister Says No Hill Cutting Will Be Allowed Along Mandovi and Zuari River Banks Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane said that paddy fields, khazan lands, salt pans, and other protected areas identified under Form I & XIV and the Regional Plan have been mapped and marked as ecologically vulnerable by the Forest Department. The data has been submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Rane also reiterated that hill cutting along the banks of the Mandovi and Zuari rivers will not be permitted.
