No New Houses on Comunidade Land: CM

Sawant Clarifies Policy, Says Fees Now Being Collected for Existing Constructions Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant clarified that no permission has been granted during the current government’s tenure for construction of houses on Comunidade land, and no such approvals will be allowed in the future. He said that existing houses on such land were constructed prior to the current government coming to power. The Chief Minister further stated that while neither the government nor the Comunidades had earlier received revenue from these constructions, the government is now collecting prescribed fees from those existing structures.
