The compound wall of Rotary Garden in Dattawadi, Mapusa, collapsed on Saturday night following heavy rainfall in the area. Councillor Aashirwaad Khorjuvekar stated that he had previously alerted the Mapusa Municipal Chairperson about the possibility of the wall collapsing and had requested repair work. However, according to him, the repairs were not carried out due to various reasons.Following the incident, Khorjuvekar has urged the authorities to take immediate cognisance of the matter and undertake the necessary restoration and safety measures to prevent further damage.
