15 stolen rings recovered; accused traced to Maharashtra hotel in swift operation Calangute Police have solved a theft case involving 16 gold finger rings stolen from a jewellery shop in Candolim on June 26, 2026. Acting on technical surveillance, the police traced the accused to Raigad district in Maharashtra, where an interstate gang was arrested from a hotel in Lorne with the help of local police. During the operation, 15 stolen rings were recovered, while efforts are on to trace the remaining property. The case was cracked by a team led by PSI Paresh Sinari under senior supervision.
