Excavation Resumes Near Immaculate Conception Church Despite Ban

Work continues despite district restrictions. Excavation work has resumed on DHS Road near the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Panaji, even as the North Goa District Collector had earlier imposed a ban on digging of public roads.When questioned by a journalist at the site, the contractor reportedly continued the work, stating it was “essential.” The stretch, which had recently been upgraded and beautified, is now back under excavation, raising concerns among locals over repeated road disruption and enforcement of the ban order.
