Alleges move will harm rural identity and enable unchecked development The Congress has strongly opposed the proposed urbanisation of 56 villages in Goa, claiming it is aimed at bringing them under the jurisdiction of the Planning and Development Authority (PDA).The party alleged that the move could damage Goa’s rural character, environment, and traditional village identity, and warned it may lead to unchecked development. It has demanded that the government withdraw the proposal immediately.
