FDA Seizes Paneer and Chicken Smuggled Into Goa

500 kg paneer, 1,750 kg chicken confiscated at border check-posts; substandard quality detected In a late-night crackdown, the Food and Drugs Administration seized 500 kg of paneer and 1,750 kg of chicken at Patradevi, Keri, and Mollem check-posts along the Goa border. The items, illegally transported from Karnataka and Hubli, were found to be of substandard quality. Officials confirmed that the chicken was destroyed at Pissurlem, while the paneer samples have been sent for laboratory testing.
