Fisheries Minister Announces Reforms for Mormugao Fishermen

Jetty, solar lights, sanitation, and subsidies to aid coastal communities Fisheries Minister Nilkanth Halankar, during the Seva Pakwada programme, announced key initiatives for Mormugao’s fishing sector, including a new Kharewaddo jetty, 300 solar street lights, a Sulabh Souchalaya, and a net-bending shed. Subsidies, safety gear, and transponders were also distributed, aimed at improving safety and livelihoods for fishermen.
