Garbage Cleared from Cunchelim Nallah, But Left Alongside Drain

A local resident who highlighted the garbage problem in Ward No. 1 of Cunchelim, Mapusa, has raised fresh concerns over the clean-up operation near the Sai Temple.According to residents, while the nallah was cleaned following complaints, the removed garbage was left piled up near the drain itself instead of being transported for disposal. With monsoon rains intensifying, locals fear the waste could be washed back into the nallah, undoing the clean-up efforts.Residents say the incident reflects the shortcomings in waste management and have urged the Mapusa Municipality to ensure proper disposal of the collected garbage.
