Konkani Made Compulsory in SSC and GPSC by Goa Government

The event, held in tribute to Shankar Bhandari, witnessed the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, who applauded the students’ dedication and encouraged them to continue promoting the Konkani language and culture.amid criticism from opposition Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant highlighted that those who often speak about “Goenkarponn” never made Konkani mandatory in jobs during their tenure. He stated that it is his government that has taken significant steps by making Konkani, both written and oral, compulsory in SSC exams and for GPSC recruitment, reinforcing the state’s commitment to promoting the language and culture.
