Calangute MLA says construction follows all CRZ norms, part of anti-sea erosion project approved by WRD Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has defended the construction of the retaining wall on his private property at Anjuna, asserting that it fully complies with Coastal Regulation Zone guidelines. Lobo clarified that the wall is part of an anti-sea erosion initiative approved by the Water Resources Department and that the expenses are being personally borne by him. He dismissed the Revolutionary Goans Party’s accusations of illegality as “baseless, politically motivated, and unrelated to environmental concerns.”
