Forced to Travel 15 km, Pay ₹700 for Basic Supplies With the Morjim fertilizer godown shut for the past three years, local farmers are forced to travel 15 km to Pedne, Mapusa, or Aronda, spending up to ₹700 on transport. Limited stock at nearby centers often leaves them empty-handed. Farmers have urged for a new godown in Morjim and requested cost-cutting by using unprinted fertilizer bags. They’ve also appealed to the MLA to raise the issue in the Assembly.
