No Deal on Islands, Goa Govt Makes Stand Clear

CM Pramod Sawant denies any approval to Karnataka, seeks Centre’s clarity Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has firmly stated that the state will not allow any of its islands to be handed over to Karnataka.He said the Ports Department and concerned authorities have been directed to verify the matter, while the state will also approach the Central Government for clarity. The Chief Minister clarified that no permission has been granted for any such development and added that Goa intends to develop its own islands after resolving pending issues with the Navy.
