The Goa Fishing Boat Owners Association, led by president and former minister Jose Philip D’Souza, has urged the government to revive the fuel subsidy scheme to support the fishing community.He said the subsidy is essential for sustaining the traditional fishing business, which is under pressure due to increasing operational expenses, and called for timely intervention to help fishermen continue their livelihood.
