Activist Raises Concerns Over Record Security and Access to Municipal Files The Mapusa Municipal Council has informed in an RTI reply that CCTV footage from its Administration Section for April 16 and 17, 2026, could not be provided due to a technical failure in the hard disk, rendering the data inaccessible. The reply was issued to applicant Sanjay Barde, and the council also stated that Chief Officer Chandrakant Shetkar joined the office on September 27, 2023. Meanwhile, an RTI activist has alleged unauthorized access to municipal files, raising concerns over record security and transparency, with authorities yet to respond to the allegations.
