Third wave in India in 6 to 8 weeks if Covid Appropriate Behavior is not followed

AIIMS director Randeep Guleria expressed fears

If the Covid Appropriate Behavior rules are not followed, the third wave of Corona will hit the country in the next 6 to 8 weeks, i.e. in one and a half to two months, said the director of AIIMS Hospital, Dr. Randeep Guleria has said. Currently many states have enacted some rules of corona restriction to prevent corona. These are the rules like wearing mask, double masking, not crowding, social distance. People should take these rules very seriously. Randeep Guleria fears that if not, the third wave of corona could come in the next six to eight weeks.

Lockdown at the national level will not be a solution. Because it will affect our economy. The solution may be to create a containment zone and lock it down. The focus will have to be on the areas where the corona grows. It is important to focus on the segment and focus on the weekly positivity rate. Despite all this, the important thing is that it will be very important to follow the rules that prohibit corona. If it doesn’t, the third wave of corona will come in six to eight weeks.

Can a third wave occur in young children?

Randeep Guleria has also given an answer in this regard. So far no information has been released that the third wave will occur in young children. However, Guleria clarified.

“We don’t even know how dangerous the third wave of corona can be for children,” said Randeep Guleria. The virus mutates, its variants are formed, which means that the virus changes its form. This causes waves of corona. Lockdown helps prevent infection. But after the lockdown is unlocked, people get crowded and this can increase the infection. Right now we have no concrete paper in hand or even a solid claim on the basis of which we can say that the third wave of corona would be more dangerous for young children. No data available. He also clarified that it is not at the national level or at the global level.
