Vehicle Shortage Hindering Police Work in Mapusa and Colvale: SDPO

SDPO Salim Shaikh says lack of vehicles is affecting emergency response, patrolling and transport of accused. SDPO Salim Shaikh highlighted the shortage of vehicles at Mapusa Police Station and Colvale Police Station, stating that it is creating major operational difficulties for the police department. He said the lack of adequate vehicles affects emergency response during crimes and accidents, transport of accused persons, and regular night patrolling. Shaikh stressed the need for additional two-wheelers, four-wheelers and interceptor vehicles to improve policing and response time.
