Yuri Alemao Slams Government Over Detention of Protesters

LoP Warns of Public Agitation Over Proposed Mega Housing Project Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao strongly criticised the state government over the detention of Karapur-Sarvan villagers protesting against a proposed mega housing project. Alleging that the government is ignoring people’s concerns, Alemao said “land is our identity” and warned of a public uprising if local sentiments continue to be sidelined. He further accused the administration of prioritising “land and order” over law and order.
